North Kingstown Youth Lacrosse offers a spring lacrosse program for boys and girls grades K-8.  Ninth graders are able to participate in the program if they are not playing at the junior varsity or varsity level at their respective high school.

The program is open to residents of North Kingstown, Jamestown, Saunderstown, Exeter and West Greenwich.

For the Spring 2021 season the state governing board has voted to return to grade based divisions by gender : 1st/2nd Grade, 3rd/4th Grade, 5th/6th Grade and 7th/8th Grade (as well as 9th graders if they are not playing on a high school team.

We are also run a coed instructional program for pre-K and Kindergarten program children called Little Skippers.

The information below was based upon the spring 2021 season and some of the information might be subject to change.

First practices begin in late March and are usually held twice per week with the dates to be determined by each of the team coaches.  Games are on Saturday mornings starting in early April and ending in mid to late June, with games over Memorial Day weekend, as well as games over the public school spring break week. Games usually starts at 8:30 am and run subsequently until ending the day with a game at around 1pm or 2pm (occasional later). Our home field is Wilson Park and we could also play away games in East Greenwich, South Kingstown, Barrington, Cranston, Warwick, Cumberland, Providence, Middletown, Northern Rhode Island and Portsmouth.

Boys' and Girls' programs, depending on participation levels, could field both a recreational (Division II) and competitive team (Division I) at all levels except Grade 1/2 & Grade 3/4. These grades are recreational only. The focus is on fundamentals, learning the game and having fun.

Information about competitive tryouts will be sent out before the season starts. Please note the basis for selection to the competitive teams will be based upon both lacrosse skills and the ability of the player to commit to practices and games.
